Mcoskers flasher Wrasse very thin.

So I was a away for a few days with an automatic feeder running. My Mcosker wrasse looks very thin upon returning? Should I feed tank more for a few days or what?

Does he not eat pellets? Are you positive your auto feeder is feeding like you meant for it to? Ive left for a week with my top blocking the auto feeder from spinning, luckily I had someone also feeding frozen.

See if you can target-feed it a little, and make sure the food sizes aren't too big for it.

Auto feeder was/is working. Will try some pellets. None of the fish were eating them, so,I stopped feeding, and used flake,and mysis.

Feed more frozen for now, I've never had a flasher wrasse that didn't learn to eat pellets, give him time.

Well bad news....little guy didn't make it. He seemed to be eating when I got back and the auto feeder was working. He was on the bottom of the tank when I went down about an hour ago, all but dead. The yellow tang seemed to be going at him when I was trying to get him out....don't know if he was the cause or what. Anyway, I'm not sure what I could have done. Like I said it seemed to be eating, but he was thin. Poor guy R.I.P. lil buddy

Usually a wrasse that's eating yet continues to thin out is a sign of internal parasites.

In the future, when you QT a new wrasse, it's a good idea to run a couple rounds of PraziPro for this very reason.
