I though mine was the only cat that did it! You should try the lazy person's cat exerciser. Child's fishing pole with a fluffy tail tied on in place of a lure. Like these but without the ball. Kitty fly fishing takes some practice but soo worth it to completly wear them out from the comfort of your couch.
