Little bit of background - had high Phosphate a little while back and rather than stuck to what I know and slowly dose P-, I chose to buy myself a reactor and GFO, which worked...

Dropped my Pho by .08 to nothing in 3 days...!

I have since turned the reactor off and will wait to see what happens, but is there anything else I need to do? Do I need to remove the reactor/GFO entirely from the system? Is it worth overfeeding a little? Anything I can do other than wait and watch my zoa die? 😭

Your tank is going to be fine. How are your other parameters looking?

You could remove the GFO for the time being.

What was the phosphate at? If it was at .08 when you felt it was too high there is absolutely no need to reduce that number at all!

You can leave the reactor running, and just take out the GFO, but it’s probably not a good idea to just leave a reactor that is turned off in there with stagnant water just sitting in it.

All other parameters are fine, in fact Ca they look better than they have for a while

KH 8.4
Mg 1280
Ca 450

Initially the Pho was at 1 but whenever I dosed the P- it would come back up again. I have since learned that it may be leaching out of the rock after being absorbed, which is why I bought the reactor to control, it's just done too good a job!
