What else am I going to call him?

He is a giant spotted hermit crab. I got him on a whim for my 120 reef but that was a mistake. By the time I realized it, he had eaten half a sand sifting starfish. I was feeding him a muscle every two days but apparently, that wasn't enough. So I put him in my little 20 gallon reef in the fish room that didn't have much in it and now he is in there by himself but he seems happy. He eats a whole muscle every three days and I feed him sinking pellets that he seems to love. Hasn't touched any of the snails or smaller hermits in the tank. He might be eating the Kenya trees but I am ok with that.

He grows rapidly. I finally found some larger shells for him at a craft store. He picked one out in two minutes but now he can't seem to decide between the two shells in the pictures, has changed between them a half dozen times in an hour. It will be interesting to see how big he gets.

AWWWWWWWWW!!! I had a red hairy legged crab. His name was Crabzilla. I loved that crab more than anything else in my tanks. He lived a couple of years. He used to tap on the glass and beg like a puppy. Enjoy Sebastian!
