The built in web interface is the old way of using your computer to control it right? I'm totally guessing here since the "fusion" thing is for the newer versions of the apex.

Correct fusion is the new way, but for some things you still have to connect to the controller the old way. You should pull the manual down from their web site. It's not to techno I thought it was pretty easy to follow.

That's my plan for tomorrow. I actually got two of the plugs programmed so far! WOW! lol I'll be reading the manual and maybe giving them a call tomorrow and see what else I can get this puppy to do. ;)

Well, I didn't have an ethernet cable long enough to connect the apex... so that's put off for a couple days until I can get around to getting one. I did find the info on what to do and how to do it though, so I should be set after I get the cable.

On a much more fun note..... I got some new fish today! I got a snowflake eel that's been eating like a champ at the store for several weeks. He's put on some weight since coming to us and a black cap basslet (Been wanting one forever) that looks stressed out right now but they are pretty flighty anyway. They are both in QT and will go through TTM. I'll post pictures when I think I'm out of the woods with them. (I dont wanna jinx it)

I use this to spare using a long Ethernet cable. Has been very reliable thus far and what Neptune recommends.

Hey I didn't even think of that! I have a lynxis (or however it's spelled) in my garage.... would that work? I dont mind buying the one you linked, but if the one I already have will work, then I'd just as well use it right?

If it's a game adaptor it should work. It just acts as a wire to wireless bridge to your home network. If it's a full router those are difficult to configure as a wireless bridge. There are some posts on the apex forums about doing it. I opted for this as an easy method in comparison.

Yeah it's a full on router for wireless. We used it before we upgraded our internet services. I'll have to order this one since it's easier. I'm all about easier! Thanks for the tip ;)

Best Buy carries them too, that's where I got mine that way if I ran into problems easier to return locally. It was easy to setup and have had zero issues.

Well, while I get around to finishing up with my apex stuff (OMG this stuff is hard to program!) I also have some fish in QT. I've already mentioned them I know. The Eel was eating like a champ at the store and totally threw up everything in his stomach after being bagged. Just like a snake to puke when stressed or threatened! My son refuses to call him an ell and insists that it's a "nake". lol he has a problem with 's' at the front of words. So cute :) The eel isn't eating yet which is concerning. The Black Cap isn't eating either, though I'm not shocked about that either. I'm hoping to have them both eating soon. I've had a pretty bad run with QT and fish lately.... I'm really hoping this round of fish breaks that bad luck streak. Keep your fingers crossed for me and send some luck my way! At some point I'll take pictures for yall, but not until I feel like I wont jinx things.

Pictures!! Not of the fish in QT- yet. They still arn't eating, but tomorrow will be the second to last transfer..... or maybe the last.... I lost count. Crap! I'll have to sit down and figure that out. Oh well... Here are some pictures of the tank and fish in the DT. Oh and I should be getting a JBJ 20 gallon frag tank and stand soon! I'll have an AI prime over it along with this new micro ATO thing (if it ever comes in stock). Exciting!

AAAANNNND I lost the dang FTS. Oh well

$99 bucks and you can use an airport express for a wireless connection point for your Apex. Cat 5 cable for 50 ft is about $15 from the big box improvement stores. I ran a line from the router to the Apex using the wall jacks through the through the attic and back down the wall. It was pretty simple. I think I had $30.00 into that cable run. If you have a couple of dollars I would go with the airport express. Thanks! I'm pretty sure I know what your explaining there... though you almost lost me at "airport". I'm pretty sure I"m just going to get the router that was linked above to make the whole thing wireless for pretty cheap. It's just taking time for me to get going on it again.
I have seen that part of the forums and spent several hours in there. I was able to reset it to factory settings and then get my lights programmed on it. After that I had a huge headache and gave up for a bit. I'll have some time this weekend to fiddle with it some more and see what all I can accomplish.

There are more, but I don't have these all sorted well so they are hard to find. Some of these I've had for two years since my 40 gallon tank was started up. The before pictures are the very first picture I took of each one.... I'm pretty sure anyway.

Nah. The monti is growing over the fire and ice. It's the faster, stronger coral by a small margin. The zoas make up for it by growing out and away from the monti. I'm finding, the larger the colony, the faster it grows... which is why these two grow the fastest in my tank.

I apologize, I have to slow down my thoughts for the reason my hands can not seem to get it right :D Airport Express http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MC414LL/A/airport-express?fnode=7f I like them. They are small and compact router without all the plugs and mess of a router.
I am with you on the programming. Do not feel bad, I went into my LFS that sells the Apex and they(LFS) were asking me questions about programming that I did not know the answer either. I asked my specific questions an received back my answers on R2R pretty quickly. I have had mine setup for about 2 months and there are still a couple of tweeks that I need to do.

I just placed my order for the AI Prime, mount and a heater for the new frag tank. The tank is already at the store and the stand is being ordered for delivery next week! I'm getting a killer deal on them! :) Now, I really need to figure out where I'm going to put this tank

I'm excited! This will be my first dedicated frag tank. I was wanting something all in one that would be easy to maintain. There will be NO fish in this since it's going to serve as my coral and invert QT. Now I have a QT for everything that goes into my DT! YAY! I'll make sure to update with pictures as things start to arrive.
