OK, so my new hood came with 2x 2250w 20k MH bulbs and 2x super actinic T5 bulbs. I understand that 14k gives better growth for corals (10k even better) and still will keep some of the color going. The question I have is, without replacing the MH bulbs quite yet what would get me closer to the 14k color by switching the T5s? I like the ATI purple+ in combination with ATI blue+ (x2) and an aquablue special that I am currently running in my nano. I'd like to keep that visible color while gaining a little better growth... Am I stuck changing to a 14k metal halide (I'd run with the Phoenix bulbs) and adding a bluer T5 bulb (probably blue+)?
