For the most part sounds like half are doing less than average...
You got that right. I had 3 losses so far. Dying with their mouth open (uronema). But I really wish chromis wouldn’t try killing each other…that would be lovely as well.

Sounds like chromis. That is why I stopped trying them years back. Sure they are beautiful and can be cheap. I don't like loosing fish and when you add them all up, they don't look as cheap as their purchase price may indicate.

100%.

Man, they just look so good because they swim in the upper levels of the tank and add contrast.

But I do agree with you. Anthias are the same tier with chromis.

I would put Anthias above Chromis for survivability but very close. I am thinking about lyretails. Hopefully the rest pull through for you.

Do you have experience with anthias?
Not positive experiences... I have kept them in the past.
I had six females and one male and the male died soon after they were introduced. A female started to transition to male which was interesting to watch, and I thought that meant that I was doing it right. Soon after they all slowly started to perished one by one. I do not think the female fully transitioned to male while I had them.
Another time I had three, two females and one male. They also slowly perished.
I tried to feed a lot and often, perhaps my system just was not mature enough to support them. IDK.
I will try them again in the future.

Out of everyone, I thought you, the invert lover, would appreciate the bristle worm.

You don’t like bristleworms? Why doesn’t anyone like them?
I love my bristleworms!

Is it likely if some died from uronema, then the rest will eventually pass from it as well? Is it a kind of disease that as almost no survivability ?

Yes and once in the system its in it for good.
The Chromis were *quarantined* by the Petco near me. -- this store didn't have active saltwater fish turnover (no fish changed in the stack I got these from in over a month prior to me buying them) and they had these fish for over 4 months before I decided to pull the trigger.
The Anthias were quarantined by Mermaid's Cove Fish
