Micro Bubbles

I hope this video works. My tank just finished cycling, and I went to plug the skimmer in and it just immediately started dumping micro bubbles straight into the tank rather than keeping them all within the skimmer itself.

Has anyone else had this issue with nano skimmers and any recommendations for fixing it?

Make sure it's fully assembled. Some degree of that is normal, but it should get better as the skimmer breaks in.

Took a couple of weeks for mine to calm down on the micro-bubbles.

To bring back this old thread of mine, I realized I’m dumb and when I modified this skimmer, I took the plugs out here that are supposed to hold the magnet in place and I never put them back.

I unfortunately can’t find them and this is a direct way for the micro bubbles to leave the skimmer before doing their job.

Does anyone have any suggestions for filling these holes back in?

Haha…laughing because I thought u was the only one…my plug came off somehow and we couldn’t locate it at all. So we plugged it with reef glue. Not sure if that will also work in your case but wanted to throw it out there. Also we raised the skimmer so that there wasn’t as much intense micro bubbles until it was broken in!
