Microbacter clean and razor left outside

I ordered both Microbacter clean and razor, they were supposed to be delivered today but they came last night around 8pm. I wasn’t aware until this morning so they were both on my porch all night and it got down to around 10 degrees. Neither of them were frozen but they were very cold. Am I safe to use or could the very low temps killed the bacteria?

They are safe to use. Bacteria are better at handling cold than heat. Short explanation; cold will slow bacteria’s metabolism. Freezing them is not a good idea since the strains are bred to be at tank temperatures

You’re right to question it cold matters with bacteria products.
The good news: if they did NOT freeze, they’re most likely still fine. Most bottled bacteria can handle cold temps for a short period; freezing is what usually kills them.
Bring them to room temperature slowly don’t heat or shake aggressively. If you want to be cautious, you can test-dose a small amount. But in general, cold overnight without freezing usually doesn’t ruin them. For the future, anything bacteria-based is best kept from freezing heat is usually worse long term, but freezing is the real killer.
