Micromussa lordhowensis frag help

My new Lord frag (just got it a week ago) has completely lost all polyps. All my other corals are happy as can be (hammers, leathers, zoas) is there any chance it'll come back? Or is it gone. Water parameters are the usual A-0 Nitrite-0 Nitrate-(10-20). Flow is low-moderate on this side of the tank and my hammers do wonderfully.

Unfortunately, that frag looks like a goner. how old is your tank? Any fluctuations in parameters recently?

Tank is fairly new (about two months), but my parameters have been spot on for the past 5 weeks, even calcium, alk and magnesium. Ig it was unhealthy when I got it.

Well, it could always be worse. One little frag vs all the coral is a price I'm willing to pay lol

Indeed a goner.
Apparently, I am having the same problem. I’ve lost about 4 acan frags the past two months. And they all look like that. Everything else is just beautiful and happy as a clam.

Not sure what’s up with acans. Would also like to know the “secrets” in keeping them.

What are your phosphates at? My LPS all got mad
when I stripped all mine with GFO

But if it’s helpful for all, Phosphates is detectable in my tank. I don’t think it’s of critical issue though , since all other corals are doing great even some sps frags. I do not run gfo. However I do run phosguard and use carbon as mechanical filtration.

Thanks. Here’s my tank. The acans are wilting away one by one but everything else looks great. I guess I just can’t grow acans. Who knows...

personally, I toss "dead" corals behind my live rock. Ive had them grow back 3 times over the course of a few months. chances are slim, but possible in some cases
