Hi Everyone,

I am planning to buy my son a Red Sea Max Nano G2 for Christmas to upgrade his Eco 13.5.

I was thinking of doing the below and hoping for some feedback so I dont trigger a cycle?
1) Setup the new tank with washed and clean new sand
2) Move over 50% of the water and then fill the rest up with new water
3) Move over the rock, bioballs and used filter floss
4) Let the system cycle for an hr and then bring over the livestock
5) In about a month add more live rock?
6) Swap out filter floss at 2hrs
6) Discard old sand and sell tank

Thoughts?

Looks good. The only thing is I would add the new rock right away to go through the ugly stage quicker, but it’s not necessary.
