Hi All,
I have been out of the hobby for over 15 years. I had 75gal back then. I have decided to get back in. My plan is to have the main tank on the first floor and the sump in the basement.
My main dilemma is the plumbing.

What size pipes should I run to my basement for drain and return?
Tank has 2x1" drain holes and 2x3/4" returns drilled. Please keep in mind that I'm also planning a small frag tank in the basement plus the calcium reactor.

Another issue is may be the HVAC return above the tank as you can see in the picture. I'm planning to build a canopy and vent it to the right of the tank.

THE JURNEY HAS BEGUN!
