Mini-G pump went?

I have a ASM mini-G protein skimmer on my 55, last night the power went out for about an hour from what I can tell from clocks. Can the pumps burn out if the sump water level is too high for too long? My skimmer is not even humming when turned on. Everything else in my sump is good to go. I tried taking it out emptying it quickly this morning and then reintroducing it with no success. Do I have to break down and order a new pump?

try taking it out and soaking in vinegar it might have froze up when it stopped, from calcium on the shaft I would take it apart and soak in for 30 min in vinegar water and then try to restart it Good luck
