Missing BTA

I got a new BTA about 5 days ago. He wasn’t doing to hot but I just figured I would give him time he ended up getting on the back side of one of rocks and it was kind of hard to see him. I checked the next morning and he was gone. I just figured with the way my tank was setup it was at a weird angle and I just couldn’t see him. I did a water change today and took all my live rock looked around and nothing. He doesn’t appear to be in the tank at all. Now the longest I’ve been away from the tank is about 8 hours and I know they can get sucked into powerheads but there isn’t anything for me to believe that. The tank was never super cloudy when I got him. The nutrients haven’t spiked if it did die. I’m really confused on what’s happened.

Most likely sucked down in a hole somewhere...they can really make themselves tiny...
