Hi All,

Recently I embarked on the new tank journey. I was quite excited to pickup a standard 120g from my local LFS and decided to document my progress here. The tank will be a mixed reef with mostly SPS and euphyllia . Please enjoy

Tank - standard Aqueon 120 ( 48 x 24x24) drilled it and installed a synergy reef shadow overflow

Stand - had a local carpenter build a stand out of homedepot 2x4’s and then I stained it.

Sump - picked up a 40 g breeder from Petco. I have always enjoyed a simplistic sump and couldn’t bring myself to spending the type of money some do on a box that holds equipment.

Lights -2x lumen bright pendant with 250w 14k SE bulbs( soon to be radiums when I get ready to put coral in). Running on lumatek select - a -watt ballasts. Was inspired by @90's reefer to build a tslot light rack to hold the pendants.

Protein skimmer - simplicity 320dc, heard good reviews so decided to give it a try. Couldn’t beat the price !

Return- sicce syncra 5

flow- 2x jebao sow15

Ato - tunze 3155

Heater - BRS 600w titanium heater and controller

Parameters- tunze 3171 calcium reactor & avast marine kalkreactor

RODI-BRS 5 stage rodi unit

had the rock cycling in a brute container for 7/8 weeks. Set everything up and filled with water & rock. Started with microbacter 7 as opposed to the dr Tim’s that I normally use. Will see how it goes.
