mixing salt???

I need to do a water change pretty quickly, so im am trying to hurry and mix salt water,

How long should i mix the salt before its safe for a water change?

im mixing 5g at a time with a mj1200 and a heater

any help is appriciated.

I just always let it sit for a few hours and do its thing. When I do not see any salt on the bottom its done. But thats just me

24 hours is recommended. In a bind though, I would say once everything is matching(s.g., ph, temp.) wait as long as you can. Why do you have to do it in a hurry anyway?

My trates are pretty high, just added several new sps yesterday and everything was good, had no die off but now they are dangerously high. need to do once asap.
