MJ-SK400 Protein Skimmer water exit opening knob is not working

I just replaced mine over this past weekend. What I used is half wood chopsticks, push it in through the opening. Work your way around and in my case, I end up removing the tape as well and use the tape on the new dial. But be careful toward the top of the opening, there is a thin white foam that is there. I assume it is used to block off the air so make sure don't rip that one out. Hope this helps and good luck replacing it.
