How much for a frag of that gorgonian?
It's still in grow out...but that's not just any gorgonian... It's my LE Ultra Uber Rare "Knitter's Envy" Gorgonian...it's gonna have a high price bc of all the energy I expended naming it.

Springer Rage, comes to mind. Normal Springer Spaniel starts have outbursts of aggression.

IMO, an aggressive golden retriever has something wrong with it, beyond socialization issues.

Most cases are socialization issues, but there are dogs that no amount of training is gonna fix. they are the exception.

I've been a vet tech 16yrs, and trained dogs a couple before that, so this is my opinion based on what I have seen.
I agree. My girl has been a vet tech here in savannah for ten years. We have a bull terrier that is social and the sweetest dog ever, but she has killed several things. So, i think it is hard to say.

Yeah you're correct but I still think we mislabel true defects to a large extent. But yes there are always exceptions!

Well that's what she was bred to do! :)

Actually bull terriers were bred to be "nanny dogs" to watch over children. The original "Nana" from Peter Pan is a bull terrier, it was changed to a big shaggy sheep dog for effect.

EDIT: It's worth noting that Dachshunds are actually the most dangerous dog breed. They cause more injuries than any other dog breed.

Yes statistically you are correct.

Bull terriers do also share blood with other dogs bred to kill vermin

My sister has a long haired dachund. I love her she is a princess. They have many dachunds, and if the dogs see an animal, no matter what size, they will try to kill it.
That's my girl, she is a princess. Lol

Are we talking PBT or Bull Terrier? I find that there is a lot of confusion in misinterpretation. Most people don't think about an actual Bull Terrier when one is referenced.

Those are PIT bull terrier, Not a bull terrier. The target dog is a bull terrier.

I know the difference.

"Early in the mid-19th century the "Bull and Terrier" breeds were developed to satisfy the needs for vermin control and animal-based blood sports. The "Bull and Terriers" were based on the Old English Bulldog and one or more of Old English Terrier (now extinct) and "Black and tan terrier", now known as Manchester Terrier. This new breed combined the speed and dexterity of lightly built terriers with the dour tenacity of the Bulldog, which was a poor performer in most combat situations, having been bred almost exclusively for fighting bulls and bears tied to a post. Many breeders began to breed bulldogs with terriers, arguing that such a mixture enhances the quality of fighting." -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bull_Terrier

http://www.bulldoginformation.com/bull-terrier.html

Vermin and fighting. Not saying they are bad dogs, Pitbulls are great dogs and were bred for questionable reasons over the years. English bulldogs, too were initially bred to battle bulls. My point is if we all understand the history and purpose of the breeds initially, we can understand their behavior.

For instance, my breed, Shetland Sheepdogs are yappy and run in circles a lot. My dogs are not yappy because I do not allow it, but this is because as smaller herding dogs, they are excitable and use barking to command respect from the livestock, let their owners know where they are when out of sight, etc. They run in circles and get in to mischief a lot if not exercised or challenged because they were bred to herd animals (herding is a big circle) and they have very strong instincts to do this.

This does not mean that they MUST ALL be yappy or spin a lot, but it is a natural tendency. Terriers destroy vermin, that is what they were bred to do. Labs love to swim, because they're retrievers of waterfowl.

Killed several things? That doesn't sound good at all.

I mean if we are talking about ground squirrels, moles, and voles I am totally OK with this.

Unfortunately my dogs could not care less about these vermin, but also do not randomly give chase and run away after vermin either.

Though I do appreciate your note on dachshunds. Most people do not realize that. I love them, but this is actually very true of them.
