Has anyone ever built a modular sump out of totes/bins, similar to seamless sumps? I'll be upgrading my sump this summer and have been toying with the idea of trying something similar if I can source some suitable HDPE containers at a reasonable price.

A shop by me uses a 55 gallon black bin for the sump. They have two tanks empty into it and a heater and return pump and a bunch of live rock, then the pump puts it back up into the display. something similar to this.

I thought about something like that but I need it to fit under the stand, similar to a traditional sump. I found 13 gallon containers through US plastics that I could link together with bulkheads, but of course the shipping is more than the actual containers.
