Molt, or Dead Hermit?

Found this at the bottom of my tank today. Looks like a dead hermit, but doesn't have any stink to it, and my eel, which it was right next two hadn't eaten it.

If it’s not gross and fleshy/smelly it’s just a moly. Since a molt is exoskeleton, theres no meat and no decay so it doesn’t smell :)

No smell, but I don't know how long it was down there. One of my four legged devils knocked it off where I put it, so I may smell it in a day or two. Unless she ate it.
