I have had this plate almost a year now. The color has fluctuated over time but now it has consistently bad coloring. Everything else in the tank (except an elegance) is thriving.
Any thoughts?

Params are good. Unless constant 0 nitrates and phosphates is bad. We did have a bad bacterial bloom months ago after what we think was too much Reef Roids so been afraid to go back to that so maybe that is the reason? Starving?

I attached what it used to look like and now.

One of our largest pieces so hate to lose it.

This looks like a Cyphastrea or a Turbinaria (if plating), not a Montipora.

As far as nutrients goes, any drastic change can lead to a color loss from stress, especially when they decrease rapidly in a short amount of time.

Undetectable nutrients aren't good as well, as you already guessed.
You want them to be at least slightly elevated if not more.

Also, as with anything else in the hobby, it usually takes some time for coral to regain its colors back, it may take a few weeks to a few months, so be patient and make sure you keep your params as stable s possible to not cause any additional stress.

Thank you! You are right, it is Cyphastrea. Thank you for IDing it for me. Going to dial back the NoX and see if that helps.
