Montipora on backwall

I was looking to get a plating montipora to grow on my back wall, how do I go about doing this, will normal glue hold it well? Would water changes bother the coral if it's out of water.

No, glue does not reliably hold on glass. You can use magnetic frag plugs from amazon. No, being exposed during water changes will not hurt it. If its for more than several minutes, just give it a splash.

Normal CA glue will hold it especially if you are starting with a small piece. If it's bigger you might want to put it on a square frag plug that you can break off just so you can glue a small block under the frag to have a flat, bigger surface to glue to the glass, or use a magnetic plug.

If it's out of the water for a short time it will slime up but should be ok.

It will hold, and if by chance it doesnt, you can order some cheap neodymium magnets and use those on the outside to increase strength. You can see i have 4 magnetic frag mounts on my back glass. They dont move.
