What type of montipora is this? And - is that a sponge sticking to the top of it?

I’m not great at coral ID, so let’s see if a bump helps.

Did they say it was a Monti where you got it? Doesn’t look familiar as a monti to me

Looks like your basic purple monti cap with a little bleaching on the rim.
Can you take a better pic for ID of what’s on top?

Is this any better? They did call it montipora but it has really deep ridges and no visible polyps so I wan't sure and can't find anything that looks just like it.

They appear to be on my stylo too (which has been unhappy of late). Put the phone in the tank to get these.

Idaho Grape Montipora (undata) with some kind of algae, not a sponge growing out of the top?

I am going to try and suction it off. It has been showing up in distinct little blobs like this on other things too. I have some red algae but this doesn't seem to be the same color or "morph".
