I would like to take a shot at one. As I look into it people talk about sponges in their diet. Any advice would be greatly appreciate it and thank you.

I've had mine since late July and he is doing great. I don't feed anything with Sponge and am not entirely convinced it is necessary. They are a Fish that needs to be moved through the distribution system as quickly as possible to have a chance. The quality of the Specimen makes all the difference. These fish have a high metabolism so lose weight quickly. Thin specimens often do not have time to adjust and fade away. That's what happened with my first one. My second a final try was a fatter fish but still had to have the right conditions to adapt. He now eats like a pig and has fattened up but alas he did not do well in a community setting so he is in my 60 gallon breeder for now with a single Jawfish. They don't seem that disease prone like some Tangs but again will be intimidated by other more aggressive fish and will go off feed.
