How many species of moray eels do you think I can keep in a 225gallon 6ft tank with triggers, angels, large wrasses and tangs?
Depends on the triggers and the eels. Triggers can take chunks out of eels, and some eels could eat your fish. You need to make sure your eels can totally hide their bodies from the triggers if needed, and you need to get eels that won't eat your fish. None of those fish are easy meals for an eel, but I'd still avoid most large, fang-toothed eels. If you do that, you could end up with a few smaller eels. I'd look at the genus Echidna and its most common and prettiest member, the snowflake eel, as well as a zebra eel. Small, less than 3ft, gymnothorax eels may work too, but could be a risk to your fish. You could also consider snake eels but long term success is difficult or you could consider a ribbon eel if you are prepared to feed it live food.
