no, good salt will have everything you need. dosing is to replenish what gets used. Again I really do not feel you need to concern yourself with with these things with a fowlr tank. focus on your most basic params for now PH Nitries, nitrates, phosphates, and ammonia. It seems to me you are over whelming yourself before getting a firm grip on the basics.One good suggestion I can give you is to look for a local reef club. There you will find people close to you that can give you hands on advice, possibly monthly meetings to help educate you along with a opportunity to get involved in a great community. I would wager your LFS will know of any in your area

Alright thanks a lot for the help. You are right I am overwhelming myself a bit. I just didn't want to add a shrimp just to kill it. Im going to do a little more research on dosing.
