I’ve been successfully running my first mixed reef in a 40 cube for 9 months or so. Recently bought a used waterbox 6025 and started a cycle. They are 3 feet apart. I saw a comment on here a while back about running water between the old tank and new tank with low flow. Anyone have any thoughts on the pro/con with plumbing in 2 sicce micro pumps to combine the water in those tanks after the cycle is complete? I do not want to crash my 40.

You shouldn’t need to cycle if you’re moving the rock to the new tank. Be careful if you move the sand though. The detritus in your sand, if moved to the new tank, will likely cause an ammonia spike.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
