I am picking up a used rimless tank (90 gal, 36x24x24 150lb) tank next weekend. Tank is rimless.

I am looking to rent a dolly or tools to assist with handling the tank and advice from those that have done so.

I do need to go up stairs out of a basement, through the first floor and out a driveway.

This might be overkill, but great for stairs. Not sure if it acts as a normal dolly. This dolly would tip the tank on it's end. I don't know if doing this would stress the seems. (it is rimless)

Rent a basic dolly and glass suction cups

I moved a 65 gallon a few weeks ago without any dollies, but it was significantly lighter/smaller.

Any comments are welcomed.

Go to Home Depot or any U-Haul place and pick you up a set of these http://www.homedepot.com/p/Forearm-Forklift-9-4-ft-L-x-3-in-Moving-Straps-FF000012/202300612 or a comparable product.
They work wonders in helping to move heavy objects.

Thank you Vertigo01, we have a pair of lifting straps. I was thinking that they would not stay under the tank with the glass surface being so slippery. Perhaps use the suction cup as a backup if the straps slip, for an additional hand hold.

If you are worried about the tank slipping. You can get some of the egg crate foan ( Wall Mart, fabric store ) for cheap and use that to help keep the tank from slipping in the straps.

If you crisscross those straps, they normally won't slip. But honestly, a 90gal isn't bad depending on your level of fitness. Make sure you put the taller person on the lower end of the tank when taking stairs :)

I moved a 350 pound glass 225 with 3 people and suction cups. 150 pounds is 75 pounds each. Rent or borrow suction cups and you will be fine.
