Moving

I'm moving and need to get rid of my fish. I'm thinking my LFS because its quick. Should I ask for money or is it customary to just donate them.

Many will only offer store credit but each one will have its own policy so you could always ask for cash.

Depends, will you still be able to go back to this store. They are more likely to give you store credit than outright pay you, but it depends anything under 30 is usually just a donation IMO. If you want money your better off selling them off to local reefers at least IMO.
