MP10 Possibly rusting??

I took apart the wet side of my MP10 today and the rod it all sits on, the plastic around it is breaking away. It looks like the metal inside of it is possibly starting to rust? Should I keep the wetside out of my tank until I can get it fixed or is this really someothing I shouldn't worry about?

Don't put it back in your tank rusting. get it fixed or replaced.

Yea definitely get that taken care of before you put it back in the tank. Is it still under warranty? They might send you another dry side.
