Hey all, I need a power supply for my w ES mp40 and I saw that form eco tech it costs $53 dollars and I found an alternative on amazon for less. Is it dangerous or bad to go with an off brand to save some money? Thanks!

No sadly I haven't yet, I found one on Amazon but it doesn't have a UL listing and I feel like paying 50 dollars for a brand new power supply from the manufacturer is kind of expensive ? So at the moment looking for a used power supply lol

Honestly I bought a really cheap one on Amazon and it works just the same as the stock one. Doesn't heat up even with the pump maxed out. All that really matters is the 24V for the older ES model and 32V for the QD model and that it is 5.5x2.5mm barrel connector. The supplies from ecotech are pretty cheap. Not worth $50. I usually go to Digikey and spend $50 on something that will not fail again. The last one I purchased was rated 1 million hours MTBF.

Was in the same boat with my mp10. Purchased a power supply from amazon but couldn't find one UL listed. Also the replacement didnt have a ground prong on the plug and felt flimsier. I kept it for an emergency backup and just sucked it up to buy from echotech. $53 is worth piece or mind when I can spend 300 on a single coral
