So here I am!
Tank info:
10 gallon Biocube
6 lbs of Dry rock, 1.5 lbs of live rock
4 lbs of live sand
sicce syncra silent 1 Return pump
AI sol Super blue (inside modified tank lid)
Supplemental blue LED strip
Cheato
Bioballs(I like em :) )
Carbon
Filter floss
Mp10 for flow
50 watt heater
This was all thrown together from spare things I had, so let me know if there are any issues.
I plan to stock it with a pair of clowns, some RFAs, and some small acros.

Here is the hard part.
I do not want to lug water up 3 flights of stairs(to where the tank is) for water changes. I also do not want to wait for a cycle. I’m impatient.
The plan as it is now:
Connect a Neptune systems dõs so that it drains 2 gallons a day from the biocube down into the clown harem tank. This will make it also like they are Plummed together.
I plan to add in the fish on next Saturday, I want to give it a little time to settle in and get the dry rock nice and not dry.
I will be connecting the dõs midweek.
Any ideas/concerns?

there are a lot of products to speed up the cycling process like dr tims one and only. You could also use filter media from your clown harem tank to speed up the cycle process or some liverock. And am I reading this right that you are draining water from one tank into another?

Yes. There is pre seeded filter media. The harem tank is 180 gallons and so I am basically pumping water from the 180 to the biocube and back down again. The harem tank is on the first floor and the biocube is on the second floor.

Most likely. I got it used a while ago and don’t remember. Felt like about 10 gallons. 8 seems reasonable.
