this is crazy so I just need a sanity check. I bought a 24w GKM off amazon the first week of september, and it worked pretty good for 5-6 weeks and then the LED light died (which apparently means the UV bulb has failed?). I was able to get it refunded, and I bought a new one from Chewy since the prices on amazon had gone up a bit. Got the new one this past Sunday, set it up on the tank...the LED light doesnt come on. Did a little troubleshooting using different outlets with no success, so I chat up Chewy and they set up a replacement to be sent. Got the replacement last night, get it set up on the tank and again, no LED on the box. All three units had water flowing thru the pump so I know it cant be a power issue.

Before I just throw in the towel on this entire product line, can anyone think of a reason why 2 brand new out of the box units would be DOA? These are pretty plug and play so Im not seeing anything I could be doing wrong, but I feel jinxed at this point

I've had similar luck with the Coralife UV. It'll run for a week and then the light will shut off.... Set it aside for a month, plug it back in and low and behold it works again... I feel like these types of UV are on the "cost effective" end and are hit or miss....
