It has been on their website for a while. Even before people started to get frags of the "mummy eye." I just wonder if it is the real deal.

no, its not the same color green.

reefready calls this "frog in a blender" i believe.

my original mummy is a lime green, with orange mouths.

this looks more like an emerald green w/ hot pink mouths.

Just kiddin!
:D

Mummy Eye = (ME) lighter greens and oranges, no connections to the miami hurricane (MH), Frogs in a Blender (FiaB), nor Emerald Mummy Eye (EME).

Emerald Mummy Eye = darker greens and oranges, completly different piece than the ME and quite obviously so when side by side.

There are some that think that the FiaB and the MH may be the same piece. However they were introduced by two different people (FiaB by Matt, MH by Greg (I think?)).

I've yet to see the FiaB or MH in person (but am working on it!) but if I had to *speculate*, I would guess that the EME is similar to the FiaB and/or MH. However tacocat will quickly point out that even in pictures, coral structure can be a determining factor that the FiaB and EME are different as is the MH and EME.

So......... Does that help anyone? LOL!

Sighting my sources Note: the FiaB and MH information is told to the best of my ability, please forgive and correct me if I am wrong on any of it. The ME and EME are my first hand experience.

cherry corals have it... They are great to do buisness with too...

One thing ,just because a chalice colors do not look the same does not mean they are not the same coral. Lighting can have a drastic affect on the coloring of Echinophyllia chalice corals. Lower light actually produces better color in alot of them.
