1. How long should I let it mix after dosing it to my fresh saltwater before retesting the alkalinity?
2. Is this stuff ok? Im 95% sure it is but I really dont want to risk it.

If it mixing should not take much time at all. Your are going to want to keep it mixing for a day or two to get the ph back up.

the alkalinity can be tested essentially right away. The pH needs to be brought up by aeration.

does this seem like a correct way to filter out any impurities of the acid? I dont really feel like wasting 2 gallons of the stuff.

It looks like it’s from Home Depot? Can you not just return it and get the correct stuff?
I get mine from the pool supply store as they have full strength stuff

That is a great option and one I might take but Im too stubborn for my own good sometimes. I just grabbed some distilled water to filter out this stuff I already have. lol
