Help.
I thought it was adorable that my clown was hosting my St. Thomas Mushroom. That lasted a few days.

My mushroom has been shrinking up and moving further under his little rock.

Should I move the mushroom to a similar shady spot away from where the Clown likes to hang out?

The first pic is of the bumps it had, the second pic it has shrunk about 50% and the middle is open more. It doesn't look near as plump as it did since the Clown has been wiggling in it.

My clown is a veritable terrorist, hedonism personified. It will host anything glued down and then change its mind whenever I add new coral.

Generally, I'd say that if the coral was expensive, move it or cover it. You can find cheap acclimation boxes on amazon to protect it.

I moved it and it’s doing great.
Lighting (the **** Clown) likes a specific spot. So I think as long as I keep stuff away from his spot I am good.

Well I am telling myself that in hopes it actually works. lol.

Yes, I am going there. The anemone or coral is always the host. The fish doesn't host anemones or corals.
There sigh, I feel better.

That actually makes a lot of sense.

I see the logic and apologies for my ignorance.

Is it fair to refer to the fish as a "squatter"? lol
Squatter is an accurate depiction of their actions. He was rubbing the mushroom raw, it was all red and purple and bumpy and then it was going smooth.

I have it put in another spot and it's puffing back up.

Yes!

I feel like the coral is often an unwilling host. Nems, fine. Caulastrea!? I don't think my Caulastrea enjoyed hosting two clowns.

You don't have to apologize. :) It's just a silly pet peeve.
I have some major pet peeves at work, I am a Director of Contracts and we have a specific filing and naming system. It pains me to see something named or filed incorrectly.

I say this to say, I feel for your pet peeve, I looked under the post and saw some "will my clown host" posts and thought, this is a very common mistake.

I think R2R should do a front page educational posting.

This would drive me absolutely crazy, in fact, it is starting to make me get that "please stop it" feeling when I see files named incorrectly.
