Must Have Zoas

Alright, I’m looking to make a shopping list of the must have zoas! Drop the names and pics if you have them!

None of them are mush-have. You gotta decide how much you want to spend per polyp then that helps you decide. Also keep in mind that if your plan is to sell them, zoanthids have a shaky market.

I mostly... almost always, only buy zoas that fluoresce under blue leds. So my tank looks like a 1960's hippy poster under a blacklight! Start with ones that are less expensive. And the more expensive ones will get less expensive over time!

Yeah so when you buy a zoanthid for $100+ make sure you like it first then think about selling later. Sometimes those more expensive zoanthids are the ones that are melters. So OP know what you are buying beforehand.

What I don’t understand is anytime a post like this comes up, everyone is quick to tell you how to buy zoas (which is all great advice) but not actually throw out any names of zoas that are actually impressive. I think that’s what the person that made the post is after. I’ve purchased over 40 named zoas so far and here are the ones that have something extra special to offer under UV and blue spectrum LEDS:

In ascending order based on how much of my right arm I had to cut off to acquire it:

Speckled krakatoa
Sticker shock
Psychosis
Hallucinations
JF bloodshot
Soul suckers
Rainbow eclipse
Exospheres
Hephaestus

That’s my top 10 I’ve collected so far...all still in grow out. Hope this helps!
