Well I have been playing musical corals and still not happy but thought I would try a full tank shot. I cut my efflo almost in half, got rid of some corals and have a few in QT to add but here it is as of this week.

The tank is in a small room so I did a crappy job at trying to merge two photos together. That is why their is 1 1/2 vortechs in the middle.

WOW! You have mastered being able to keep the intense colors of SPS. Just when I thought I was going OK...... Then I see photos of your reef. Share some secrets!

Thanks guys. Rev anytime your down this way let me know.

I have no secrets I believe in weekly water changes lots of light preferably 20k MH and good looking corals. I have always had a knack for knowing which corals well look good in my tank. To me some corals look better in lower nutrient tanks and some look better in a somewhat high nutrient tanks. You have to know what you tank is and which corals will like your tank. I change about 38 gal out of 220 gal a week. I have always over skimmed as well. I have a par meter and most of my corals get at least 400 par most get 500 plus if I could I would have all of them get 550 to 650. In my old tank my fastest growing coral got 750 PAR so I don't buy the theory about to much light can inhibit SPS coral growth.

Here are some pictures of my sump and refugium when I first set up the tank.

Thanks guys.

Jr yes that is an elegance and I have had it for about three years. It's not the brightest but I am attached to it. I have actually fraged it twice over the years because it starts to take over. lol
