Time for an update, can't believe it has been over a month since I have updated this thread, so on with the update. For new equipment I have an Esshops 120, which I only run for 8 hours each night since I don't have much of a bio load yet and my nems get upset when the skimmer runs during the day. I have also made the decision to make the switch over to a Radion G4 XR15, I just have not been happy with the kessils and the color of my corals. I am planning on getting it with in next month or two and will sell the kessils pretty soon after. About two weeks after my last update, chrystophates showed up on a small portion of my rock work, but thankfully I was able to choke it out with GHA by feeding a bit heavier. Only problem with that is now I have a small green hair algae problem, but my snails should take care of it pretty soon. As far as live stock goes, my clowns are always front and center and are happy with the large tank and all their BTAs, the blenny perches on everything(and eats everything..), and the purple firefish is always out and happy.

Best update ever! My clownfish Coral (female) and bubbles (male) finally laid their first batch of eggs after being together for 3 and a half years!;Woot;Woot;Woot;Woot!!!!! They are going to hatch within the next day or so (just got back from a church camp yesterday and saw them). I will not be attempting to raise this clutch as I am currently too busy to raise fry at the moment, but as soon as I get more time I will attempt it. In other news, my large 6 and a half inch RBTA split:( I had wanted him to stay big, but thankfully he is almost 100% recovered and doing great. I will post picks of the eggs tomorrow when the lights turn on.

Just got back from a 2 week vacation in NY and the tank looks even better than before I left! I also found a new clutch of eggs from my clowns that appear to be about 3-4 days old. The lights are out right now, but will post some pics tomorrow.

Update, my clowns laid their 3rd batch of eggs last night and apparently the female clown thought there wasn't enough anemone by where she laid the eggs, so she moved my RBTA that is in a PVC cap over to where she wanted it!

The anemone used to be in front of the frogspawn....not anymore;Hilarious

It has been awhile since I’ve posted an update, so I’ll do one now:) When I went to WWC a week or so ago, I picked up some goodies. I got a zebra barred dart fish, a standard clownfish(for my 14), in QT ,a chalice frag, a branching green Monty, and a large SPS colony.

My birthday was yesterday, so my Dad thought he would have a bit of fun and put this on the front of my tank.

Just realized it’s been almost five months since I’ve updated this thread A lot has happened since my last update and mostly I only have good news, but there were two losses. I lost my chalice from WWC and my most recent and saddest was my clearer shrimp, who I just lost yesterday of black gill disease. But now on to the good news. All of my corals have been growing very well and coloring up nicely. I just got my shipment of corals from the @WWC live sale last week and I couldn’t be happier! My RBTAs have all been happy and growing well and are along with the clowns are my favorite part of my tank. I also finally managed to beat green cyano bacteria , but I’m still dealing with green turf and hair algea(just got some snails today to get to work on some of that). All in all, I’m so far very pleased with how my tank has been going and can’t wait for everything to start growing out!

It’s been so long since I updated this thread, I was so busy with school I only had time to feed the fish and clean the glass. Hopefully now that summer is just about here, I’ll be able to keep up on updates. As far as changes go, I recently went to @WWC and picked up a forest fire and a seasons greetings Montipora, along with an acan and a rusty gorgonian. I also got another cleaner shrimp, but he was very small and I think my Benny had him as a snack. I also got a small velvet urchin to help deal with all this turf algae I’ve been dealing with lately, but I think I need a few more because the little guy eats a lot but not enough to keep up with the growth. Here are some recent picks:

So it has been almost a year since my last tank update and part of that has been due to some problems. I had my rodi unit go and was putting top off water that had 30 tds in to the tank which caused my RBTAs to bleach and shrink. Along with this I had Dinos pop up, which I did eventually beat , and I used some aquarium putty that somehow killed all my sps and almost killed my lps. So yeah, it’s been a hard past year for me and my tank. But now, my corals have recovered, my nems are starting to come back a bit, and I’m finally moving forward again. I also wasn’t getting the growth I wanted from my kessils, so I got a Radion Gen4 XR30 I was so happy to finally get my hands on one, even if it’s a gen behind. Ask far as my current plans for the tank, I’ve decided to try and make the tank anemone dominate, with a few easy to keep sps like montiporas, lps, primarily Euphyllia and acans, and some softies.

Well, it’s amazing what changes can happen in about 2 months. Most of my RBTAs have regained some or all of their color and almost doubled in size. My corals have also shown growth that I haven’t seen in a long time, so I very pleased with how my tank has been lately(my clowns are too lol). I also took a short trip to WWC’s winter park store over the weekend and picked up a replacement high voltage platygyra(for the one the dinos killed) and three unknown encrusting sps.

Time for another update. Tank has been doing great! My RBTAs have all colored back up and been growing so my clowns are happy. Now that I’ve finally gotten the tank stable again, I’m starting to slowly add corals. All my small frags have been going straight into the tank(if I can remove the plug), but anything large goes into my coral QT. Now I’m just battling some cyano, HA, and some detritus issues, but overall the tank is finally back on track
