My 6-line wrasse RIP

I have not seen my 6-line wrasse for a week. Usually he was swimming around and bullying all his tank mates. He is more than 10 years old, I bet the old age finally got hold of him. He has survived carpet surfing a few years back. Hope him rest in peace. He did keep my tank relatively pest-free.

Now my question to all the fish expert is:
I want to get another wrasse to keep my pest in check. He has to be not a bully like the 6-line. And my 75g tank only have about 1/2 in of sand bed. Any suggestions?

Yellow coris wrasse, you'll be very happy with that investment...just be sure the sixline is gone and that you have a sand bed it can burrow in.

Wow 10 years, nice long life for a fish. Check into a leopard wrasse as well

i loved the yellow corris wrasse we had, but he went carpet surfing. nevre bothered anyone but the pods and pests!!

should be as long as he doesnt go diving head first straight down! i have heard of a few poeple having them hit a rock burried in the sand or the bottom of the tank and killing them selves from hitting it so hard.... but most of the time they just kinda slide into the sand.

Okay, my 6-line still missing -- considered RIP. Today I will go to the LFS and go fishing, looking for a yellow coris. :pudency:

Yeah, I got one yellow coris, a small one. In less than 10 seconds after I put it in the tank, it slided into the sand and totally vanished. It is kind of fun to watch that!!!

I love my Yellow Coris, very active fish and does quite well keeping the pests eradicated.

It came out of the sand a few minutes ago. My big Sailfin Tang and the Flame Angel chased after him but he just swiftly glided away. I think he should be okay in this community.
