Well here’s my 75g mixed reef so far. It had a pretty nasty gha outbreak, but with some advice from a friend, I increased the flow through the water column and was able to get it cleaned up. I have plans for a larger tank later on, perhaps a 180g or larger. Here are a few photos so far of my 75g’s progression, please give feedback on what could be improved and how it looks!

Current state of my tank, comin along pretty well. Oh and The blue tang was given to me from a tank being broken down. Just thought I’d toss that out before the tang police show up

Yea.... it was really a pain in the rear. Glad it’s under control!
GHA is like that odd relative of yours that you never know when he/she will show up at your home. LOL ;)

Haven’t updated my build thread in quite some time. Here’s the latest: finally finished up the trim and added some crown molding to spruce the canopy up a bit. Added a diy algae scrubber to the refugium section, but it will be soon be moved to its own 5gal tank for ease of maintenance. Recently took out the dual bulb ceramic metal halide light and added some G3’s with a diy Cree LED blue supplement with a Storm controller.

Up and coming additions: I’ll be adding a Aqua UV sterilizer, 2x 300 watt BRS titanium heaters, and change up the plumbing a bit. Thinking about plumbing the tank drain pipe to the refugium section and then drain down to return chamber. Thinking about giving the no mechanical filter media route a try and let the refugium as well as the skimmer handle the refuse. Would also be ditching the bio balls and opting for additional live rock and maybe give one of those bio bricks a shot.
