I’m gonna cry!!!
So after turning on the lights Josh (one of the managers at my LFS) went about normal opening b.s. When he walked around back to where the eels tank was he found him on the ground!!!!!! He got him back in the tank. He is still alive. He is moving around but not like he was the last time I was in.
Josh wants to give it a week to make sure he is still eating. He won’t sell the eel to anyone else, my name is on it now and as long as he seems ok in a week he said he would sell him to me for $200. I got $60 for the nem

Glad they care enough to not just turn around and sell him. That’s why I think he wants to give it a week to make sure he is actually OK and eating again. So we’ll see crossing my fingers.
Edit. He doesn’t believe he was out of the water that long so that’s a good thing and I don’t think the ground has any cleaning chemicals on it.

I was in 7th grade, got home from school. My ribbon eel was on the carpet looking like dried jerky. My heart sunk. All of a sudden i saw a little movement. I picked him up and threw his butt back into his qt. Once he looked well, he was placed in the 55g. He never went carpet surfing again.
A few years later..
I lost him to chemical burn instead.

I would assume chemical burns would show up rather quickly if he did Landon any kind of cleaning stuff. His body looks fine no unusual markings or wouldn’t look like you know damage skin so crossing my finger still
