My buddy friend digs my tank

8 months back walking my German shepherd my gf and I found the sweetest stray cat living in our complex. He proceeded to adopt us and now he's a big fan of my tank. Here's my buddy Fred admiring his fish. 20191130_115947.jpg 20191130_115715.jpg 20191130_115947.jpg

He’s deciding which one to eat first.

Have you ever had an issue with your cat startling your fish and making them jump? We are fairly new tank owners (6wks) - everything in the tank is going great, but all of a sudden our 2 Chromis are GONE! Pretty sure they jumped and became snack for either the cat or dogs?

Looks like both cats are looking for the driest way into the tanks.

I recommend a mesh cover for most tanks. Just about any fish is capable of carpet surfing sooner or later.

Great cat! Thanks for sharing!

We had a cat that would sit and watch the tank for hours. One day (thankfully I was there to see, but unfortunately didn't have the camera on) he decided to go for it and dove head first into the side of the glass. He was a beautiful cat, just not particularly bright. He never showed any interest in the tank after that!

On my first tank my cat Maddox tried and fell in. He never cared about the tank again. Fred is a new addition to the family and he seems interested but is t very graceful so he hasn't made any moves. He does make them jump from time to time though. The fish seem to know better. I'm getting a top soon though.
