Hi All, Most may or may not be aware, but aside from colourful sticks, I also have a soft spot for other things soft and wavey!
DISPLAY: 30" (tall) x 24" x 24"
LIGHTING: 2 x 20w LED FLOOD - (1 x blue, 1 x 20000k) - total 40w
FILTRATION: bk160 mini, carbon in TLF150
Alk/Ca: TLF KW300 w/kalkwasser
Top up: Tunze3155
DT circ: 2 x tunze 6025
This tank was setup so I had something to look at whilest in my upstairs area, (My SPS tank is downstairs, in basement), and the main goal of this tank was to have all the soft wavey attractive corals, including the obligatory, "nemo's" to entertain visitors and children alike.
I have had tanks in the main area of the house before, but they have always made the house humid, and the tanks have always been noisy.
The requirements this tank HAD to meet (to satify the better half), were that the tank had to be silent, and not heat the house up.
With the LED's the heat is minimised, and the bk160mini is the first skimmer I have owned that is silent!
There is actually a very large RBTA in here aswell, but it is currently behind the large rock against the weir.. (My nems tend to do that when they split) I will try get some pics of that soon!
