Hi.
I like to share with you with progress of setting up and maintaining my first saltwater reef tank.
I'm started my tank in April on dry rock and dry sand, adding 70ml 10% ammonia solution and 16oz. Microbe-lift SPECIAL BLEND bacteria to start cycling.
Additional biological filtration is 2lbs MAXSPECT BioSpheres in sump.
After one month NH3 = 0 / NO2=0 / and my NO3 is maxout on Salifert test scale >100ppm so I added hand size portion of Chaetomorpha to sump and start lightning it for 14 hours.
Adding so much ammonia was a mistake.
After next mont chaeto grow a bit and NO3 drop to 25ppm.

Tank 110x60x50cm + spump 80x47x45cm inc. 10 gall. top of tank.
Stand is made from welded aluminium profiles.
90lbs Reef Saver rock (in Poland MARCO ROCKS) + 55lbs. ReeFlowers Pearl White Sand 1-1,5mm
Light is Blau Lumina T5 6x39W
ATI Blue Plus x 3pcs
ATI Aquablue Special x 3pcs
Return pump is Tunze Silence 1073.020
Circulation pumps
Tunze 6055 1pcs
Tunze 6045 2pcs

Hello it's time to small update.
After five months of waiting the time has come :)
Today i introduce some corals to my tank.
Unfortunately Caulastrea on left got beaten up pretty badly in shipment
I also add Red Starfish DC protein skimmer RS-N130 and rebuild my sump, I reduce size of pump chamber and add space to middle section.
Cable management will be next task to accomplish.
In September i plan to buy more fish one small Amphiprion ocellaris and one Pterapogon kauderni and some corals.
