My first corals fingers crossed

These are my first 3 corals. I went small and cheap just in case it doesn’t work out. So far my water parameters are good and a day after dipping them and placing them in they seem to be doing fine. Fed them coral candy this morning and they seemed to suck it up. As I was feeding on the two lps corals several small tentacles came out.l which means they are eating. This is so amazing. I’m loving salt water more and more each day. First pic The frag actually had a Xenia attached. They are pretty neat they way the open and close I know there not the most colorful but I like how they sway with current. Sorry for lengthy intro to my corals but I’m excited to watch them grow.

Great starter corals :) Just keep in mind placement as the xenia and the GSP can very quickly take over a tank. Best to leave them to their own secluded rock. Unless that's what your going for ;)

Yes that’s what they told me they are fast growing and somewhat invasive. I will hopefully give them their own rocks. I just wanted something like them that are fast growing to practice placing on frags. I also like the GSP’s bright green which will look neat covering a rock like grass.

Did that start off as a small frag like me and if so how long to get to that point.

I would bet about 7 months from a frag like yours to that....
But keep in mind, growth rates will vary from tank to tank....

Yes, very small frag. Glued it to it's rock it's on now. Started back two years ago.

Maybe a year to go from a frag your size to this! I love GSP but definitely need to keep it isolated, I tried several did zoas and mushrooms on this rock but the GSP grew over them.

Thanks! I put reef chili in 2-3 x week but no target feeding. They just love flow and light!

No spot feeding. Just water pramameters for mine.

Looks like prism favia (dragon soul favia).

Everyone has warned you about the GSP. I, however, will caution you to make sure your war coral/favia have their own secluded area to grow. Had a tiny plug of war coral when I first started my tank. It takes up roughly half of one of the biggest pieces of live rock in my tank. Stings the snot out of everything around it too.
