My First reef tank

Just set up my first reef tank. Took me a couple of months to aquire all the equipment and put together my aquascape. Got it all up and running and started the cycle 3 weeks ago. Shoved in a couple of shrimp and dosed with bacteria. So far not a lot happening other than checking Ammonia. Just being patient and letting it do it's thing

My one piece of advice: Never, ever, EVER let the nitrate and phosphate sit at zero for an extended period of time. You may get dinos, which could be a disaster for you tank. I have known multiple people who decided to start their tank over as a result of getting an outbreak. Also, have fun!

welcome. I am also in the process of gathering everything for a my set up. Only ordered the auaqrium so far but will be in the same boat as you soon. Good luck.
