My First saltwater tank - 60 cube

So it’s been a while I have learned a lot so far. Right after that update I got so WWC coral on the October live sale. Picked up some nice pieces. Duncan, blasto, disc mushroom, zoas, hammer, a dragon soul torch, green and purple stylo. I dipped all the coral but still ended up with a lettuce or ulva algae problem. I thought it was a flat worm at first cause it was small but then it started growing and tanking over the tank. I would scrub the rocks every other week when I was doing my water changes. The I got lazy and didn’t do a water change for a month and a half and all the algae was gone. Then a new problem came up with bubble algae I picked up a pithos crab and in 2 days most of the bubble algae was gone. And that where we are now I haven’t seen the pithos crab in a few days hoping he is still alive. The tank looks really good but I also have a Vermitted snail problem. They have multiplied and I will have to do something about them soon don’t want them to start messing with my coral.

Since I got lazy I haven’t tested the parameters of the tank in while but I want to start dosing kalk soon so I will have to start testing to get a baseline soon


As far as fish we have 2 clowns , royal gramma, purple fire fish. Thinking about adding 2 more a tomini tang and a flame hawk fish and maybe a wrasse but idk



This is first ugly stage It didnt last long the ulva took like 4 months to get rid of this was only like this for a few weeks

This is like mid Jan. Most of the hair algae is gone ulva starting to take over.

I really like this encrusting piece I picked up from a local guy he had it on the back wall so I thought It would look cool on mine also prob should of put it lower so it can grow up more now the bottom isn't lit so down its going to grow down

This is what is looks like now I need to pick regale my gonis, some mushrooms on a rock fell and also a zoa fell off. Need to take care of those soon but been super busy

Tank has been doing pretty good . I started doing All For Reef as I finallyy tested all a few months back and it was around 5.2. Now we’ve been sitting around 7.9-8.3 so I’m happy. I got a Tomini Tang and it never ate so it died been trying to wait a few more months before I try again. I really want one f those a wrasse and a flame hawkfish and I will be good with fish. I added a couple cheep arcos from the WWC frag sale and the lobo . I want to add some rock flower nems , a few torches and hammers and some acros to fill the tank. At least that’s the goal. Finally got some filters for my phone so I can take some better pictures. So here’s a video of the tank sorry I need to clean the overflow…
