My Fluval Evo 13.5 system

This is my EVO. It's been up and running for about 3 months now and I'm battling algae, and a black brown algae I'm looking for suggestions on the best way to handle it. I use RODI water, and haven't tested the water since the water change I did Sunday night. I also purchased Seachems Phosguard to help fight the issue.

Nice tank!
Just looks like the uglies most tanks go through the first couple of months. Keep up regular maintenance and the algae will go away.

I've always been notorious for over feeding. I've scaled that back to every other day starting this week and can't wait for the black algae on the bottom to go away. Thanks for the compliment.

Also a couple snails and an emerald crab work wonders. Just don't get too many or they'll do too well and starve
