I got my green star polyps on Friday. And it hasn't open up in 3 days. I had about 20 opened at one point but closed up again. At my lfs they were all opened up. Not sure why they won't open up. Is their some thing wrong? I bought 2 other coral the same time and they are doing fine. I have a 29g biocube running for 7 months. Ammonia is 0ppm nitrate 0ppm PH at 8.1. I do weekly water change and supplement 2 times a week.

What are your other parameters? I already replied to your other thread about the pest aiptasia you have on there too.

Nitrite is also 0ppm. Don't have the test kit to test the rest out. But I do weekly water changes. I use supplements 2 times a week including calcium. I have coralline algae growing every were so I know that's on point. Other than that I have no idea. The other 2 corals that I bought the same day are the same way now after I shut the lights off. Maybe I didn't acclimated them for long enough?

A good rule of thumb is to not dose something if you don't have a test kit for it. I would recommend getting the salifert test kits for Alk, Cal and Mag. I can almost guarantee that is your problem

Oh OK. The instructions just said to dose it twice a week, 1 cap per 30G. I will buy the test kit on ebay. I will not dose until it gets here. usually shipments comes in a week after. Hopefully they will survive.

Mine does this from time to time so i started calling it miss thing. Miss thing has closed up for more than a week at a time with no problems and then extends bigger and better than before. Gsp can be irritable and close up because of changes in lighting and flow as well. Give it time. They are pretty indestructible
